Tragically Kirsty suffered a catastrophic seizure on 18 June 2014, during which she stopped breathing for a prolonged period. She was declared dead in Hull Royal Infirmary on 24 June 2014. Her funeral was held on 11 July 2014 at Woodland's Crematorium, with over 100 family members and friends attending.
